from charity to solidarity: building relationships

This workshop gives us an opportunity to deepen our consideration of power and privilege, and to connect that work with a conversation about models of social support. Particularly, we focus on the difference between a “charity” model of organizing support and a “solidarity” or “mutuality” model. Participants will have opportunities to reflect on their own practices and consider, together, what it looks like to move towards active practices of solidarity and mutual aid.
